Game design and development on How Many What?!, the ridiculous party game of absurd comparisons published by The Op (USAopoly), where players guess the size of one thing measured in something completely random, like a T-Rex standing 8 peacock feathers tall. The game began life in an earlier incarnation called How Many Giraffes?!, and that original version went on to shape the final game's humor, tone, and overall vibe even after the branding was taken in its own direction. (I've included the original Giraffes card, a little sneak peek at the process. Plus, you can play along and guess 'How many giraffes tall is the Eiffel Tower?') Part of the design work also included generating the prompts and object ideas that feed the core guessing mechanic, the absurd comparisons that make the whole thing work.

While the final branding came from another hand, the DNA of the published game traces back to that early How Many Giraffes?! build. The result is a fast, accessible party game that needs no trivia knowledge and no measuring tape, just a willingness to argue about exactly how many school buses it takes to equal a blue whale.
